Pet of the Week

Lovely Lacy is a charming lady who arrived at the shelter through no fault of her own. Her beautiful fur triggered severe allergies in a new family member and resulted in the owner surrendering Lacy in March.

Since then, she patiently awaits a welcoming household, where that soft white-and-gray fur will prove welcome rather than worrisome. Lacy is 5 years old, spayed and healthy — though she needs some dental attention.

Her previous owner describes this cuddlesome girl as “loving, friendly, good with children, litterbox-trained, and fond of belly rubs.” Lacy has lived happily with another cat as well. Volunteers find she especially enjoys being held but, of course, she must compete for this attention amid a roomful of two-dozen other homeless cats. Lacy’s adoption fees are discounted 25% all week if you mention this announcement.
