Pet of the Week

Chepo is an amusing cross-breed dog commonly known as a “puggle,” which results from a mix of pug and beagle.

In general, puggles are said to combine the active and inquisitive temperament of beagles with the companionable nature of pugs. And those characteristics are clearly apparent in this little guy. He is eager for walks, loves to explore and readily expresses affection. Surrendered recently by his former owner, Chepo has maintained a happy-go-lucky personality during the sometimes difficult transition to shelter life.

He is healthy, weighing just under 16 pounds, and will be neutered upon adoption. Like most adolescent canines, he will benefit from continued training and exercise. With his engaging and enthusiastic behavior, Chepo should do especially well in an active and caring household.
