Pet of The Week

Occasionally, the Orange County Humane Society transfers adoptable animals from high-kill shelters, when their brief “holding” time is about to expire.

Brownie is one of those lucky dogs, rescued in this manner last month. A lively 2-year-old Terrier mix, this little guy’s perky ears and longish body suggest some Corgi.

He is affectionate with people, but hasn’t yet mastered good manners with other dogs. Brownie is healthy and recently neutered. He now needs a stable environment, firm but loving guidance, and opportunities to unleash his exuberance in acceptable ways.

Brownie would like to share his good fortune with you! Mention this announcement for a 25% discount on his adoption fees all week. Cat lovers should know kitten season has arrived at the shelter, with many adorable kittens looking for good homes. Come to the Orange County Humane Society, 21632 Newland St., Huntington Beach.
