Updated November 9, 2021: Outdoor Master has just revamped their goggle lineup to include a few new products: the Ultra and Vision ski/snowboard goggles. First, let’s start with the Vision line. Much like the PRO goggles from last year, the Vision builds upon the same concept but with many new features to help you see what’s in front and to the side of you. The name makes sense, doesn’t it? They pack a slightly wider field of vision and add a revamped anti-fog coating, as well as better ventilation so you’re able to clear the lens quickly. It continues to utilize the OTG (over the glasses) design, but now adds an enhanced polarized lens for better contrast and glare reduction.
As for the Ultra goggles, it builds on the good stuff that the Vision receives: there's a triple anti-fog coating as well as better-ventilated foam around the lens. The Ultra’s claim to fame is what they did with the lens. When you’re out on the slopes, clarity is crucial. You need to be able to distinguish obstacles and rough patches of snow. It can be hard to see those with regular goggles, but thanks to the Ultra’s luminous refractive pressed lens, they’ve beefed up the contrast so you won’t have that problem.
All in all, Outdoor Master has provided some worthy upgrades to their goggle lineup. Both the Ultra and Vision come with an additional lens to swap out whether the sun is up, down, or cloudy. Like with the PRO, they can be swapped out easily thanks to the magnets holding them in place. We recommend them and take our top slot on the “Best Ski Goggles” list.
Ski and snowboard goggles are a must whenever you are hitting the slopes. If you are a serious winter rider, you will want the best available such as a pair of Oakleys or Smith - both of which will cost you hundreds of dollars. But for the casual or budget-conscious majority, a durable, well-crafted pair of goggles can easily fit the bill without breaking the bank.

The most valuable feature on the PRO goggles is the ability to quickly change out lenses on the fly. With 8 magnets around the rim of the goggles, the user can pop off one lens and change it out depending on the weather conditions throughout a ski trip. This can be done even while wearing gloves, which is extremely convenient. Outdoor Master offers over 20 lens colors to choose from with varying VLT (Visible Light Transmission) percentages. The whole lineup consists of different lenses and colors to cover the entire gamut from 7% VLT for ultra-sunny bluebird days to night skiing with 99% VLT.
I found the PROs to be very comfortable to wear for long periods of time, with and without a helmet. I don't wear glasses, but Outdoor Master states that the PROs can be worn over glasses in a pinch. The lenses quickly dissipate any fog while allowing air flow for added comfort, even while wearing a bandana or scarf. This is made possible by the anti-fog coating and the use of layered microfiber foam that allow the goggles to breathe. At the time of publishing, the PRO goggles are priced just under $60. Considering all the features equipped on the Outdoor Master PRO goggles, these are truly a high-value option that anyone should consider.
If you do wear glasses, another option Outdoor Master sells is the OTG ski goggles. These resemble standard ski goggles more closely, with a pronounced frame around the lenses. Unfortunately, this also means that this model loses the ability for the wearer to change out lenses. Outdoor Master provides 17 color options to choose from with varying lenses and strap colors, as well as different VLT percentages based upon the color of the lens. Each OTG comes equipped with 100% UV protection and anti-fog coated lenses. All are helmet compatible as well, and are priced slightly lower than the PROs.
Outdoor Master may not be a household name like Oakley, but their goggles provide all the features and comfort of the big names without breaking the bank.
