Full-body razors are taking the grooming world by storm, providing a polished, well-groomed look from top to bottom. One of the biggest players in the full-body razor game is the Manscaped Lawn Mower 4.0. This electric razor boasts advanced technology that offers a safe and smooth shave.
To determine if this electric razor is as good as it seems, Bestcovery put it to the test. Below is our review of the Manscaped Lawn Mower 4.0. I’ll discuss its features, pros and cons, and if it’s the right investment for you. Let’s get started!
Disclosure: Manscaped sent us a sample of their Lawn Mower 4.0 Electric Razor to review.
What’s Included?
The product set includes the Lawn Mower 4.0 trimmer, two guards, a wireless charging system, a cleaning brush, and a USB type-c cable.
How Easy Is It to Use?
Using the Manscaped Lawn Mower 4.0 takes the simple push of a button. However, its button is difficult to find by touch alone. You’ll have to look directly at it to turn it on, which can make it more challenging to use in hard-to-see areas.
Is It Effective?
While this electric razor is pretty effective overall, there’s one potential drawback. It takes a bit more time and patience to shave larger body areas because of its slim design. The precision is great for more detailed work, such as facial grooming or shaping. However, a bigger time investment is needed for extensive body grooming.
Does It Cause Irritation?
When using this Manscaped Lawn Mower 4.0 with the guards, it’s comfortable and doesn’t cause any irritation. However, for some areas of the body, like the beard and back of the neck, I found it easier to trim without a guard. Without the guard, though, it tends to tug a little. The product markets that pulling won’t happen, but they should add that this is only the case when you use the guard.
For under $100, you get a comprehensive tool that offers full-body hair removal.
Pros
One of the standout features of the Manscaped Lawn Mower 4.0 is its design. The ergonomic handle is both aesthetically pleasing and ensures a comfortable, secure grip. It’s very quiet, especially compared to many other handheld electric razors. It’s wireless, allowing you to shave several parts of your body without getting tangled in a cord, and the waterproof design makes clean-up really simple. This electric razor also comes with two guards that act as guides, helping you get the perfect trim. The guards are also very user-friendly and slide on and off with ease.
Thanks to the one-button control, operating the Manscaped Lawn Mower 4.0 is a breeze. It’s straightforward to turn on and off. You don’t have to worry about changing settings or pressing any other buttons.
The Manscaped Lawn Mower 4.0 is also a great value. For under $100, you get a comprehensive tool that offers full-body hair removal. It’s an investment that can save you money in the long run from not having to spend money on separate devices.
Cons
My biggest complaint about the Manscaped Lawn Mower 4.0 is that it feels like it lacks power. It does the job but doesn't offer the same power I get with my corded electric razor. Some areas of the body take several passes to fully remove the hair when using this electric razor. It’s also pretty narrow, so it takes a long time to shave larger areas of your body.
This electric razor only comes with two razor guards. The small one barely trims a beard, and I couldn’t find a good use for the larger one. Because there are only two sizes, I couldn’t go as short on my beard length as I wanted to.
The guards are great at preventing hair tugging, but without them, I noticed some tugging. Because there are only two guard sizes, there are some areas I had to shave without the guard, and I noticed tugging every time.
Is the Manscaped Lawn Mower 4.0 Worth It?
Overall, I’d say this electric razor is worth investing in. It’s an excellent product for the price and super easy to use. Despite only coming with two guards and the slight tugging, the Manscaped Lawn Mower 4.0 does a really good job at removing hair all over the body. It’s a great option if you're looking for a wireless, user-friendly, full-body razor.
